Chateau de Pique Winery

July 17-18, 2021

Chateau de Pique Winery in Seymour, Indiana was our very first Harvest Hosts and our very first boondocking-ish night after our Factory Pick-Up for our new coach!

Make sure you read down to the bottom…there was a bit of a challenge leaving the next day!

There were several other RVers that spent the night at the winery, but we were the first to arrive, so we got the choice of a location AND were able to leverage an electric hookup that the winery offered for free!

The winery had a beautiful outside sitting area and lit it up at night! We got to enjoy tasting some wonderful wines while getting to know the other RVs staying at the winery…some of which we still stay in contact with and have become great friends!

When we got up to leave the next morning, we had a little problem…the road from the winery out to the main highway was flooded!!! We had to back up the road about 1.5 miles to the winery and park for a few hours to wait for the water to recede some…then we had to take our BRAND NEW coach through it!
