Stinky Slinkey Upgrade (Part 4)
The QUEST for the perfect dump hose continues!!!!
I’ve had lots of great feedback from other folks that have done similar upgrades (Specific Shout-Outs got o Mona and Jeff!!!)
While visiting with Jeff down in Mission, TX earlier this year, I did two more upgrades:
- Added a shut-off value to the flex hose
- Converted the 90-degree elbow to a modular piece

Shut-Off Value
I added a shut-off value (Mona’s suggestion) to the host before the banjo clamps that allows me to ensure no “drippage” due to the fac that the sewer valves are not completely watertight. It is a 1 1/2″ value with a clamp connector to the flexible hose and a 45-degree elbow connected to a female threaded connection for a threaded banjo clamp.

Modular 90-Degree Elbow
The other upgrade I wanted to make was to convert the 90-degree elbow that goes out the wet bay into a modular piece. It was a challenge fitting the previous setup in the wet bay. I use a 1 1/2″ male threaded elbow to connect a banjo clamp on the top and on the bottom (with a small extension you can see to make it easier to clamp. I put a 45 degree elbow on the bottom side to five the sanicon hose a little more room and not have too much pressure bending that hose.

LATEST UPDATE!!!
I don’t have pictures of the setup, but due to an unexpected SPLIT in the PVC pictured above (yes it was a messy cleanup) I replaced all the white PVC with a single ABS 45-degree bend I got on Amazon.
